Beach

STORY (as presented above and in animatic):  Child walks onto the beach. Picks up a shell and holds it to her ear, hears the sound of the ocean. Her grandmother joins her; they shake out towels, sit down and watch the water.

The story is unresolved but revolves around her parents separating and her gradual understanding.

This could also be a sequence leading up to the title/start of a film.

SETTING: Coogee beach in Sydney, the 70s/any beach in Australia, now.
